Developing Tomorrow's Leaders

VP Circle Fellows Program | Executive-Led 6 Week Career Readiness Program

Organization: VP Circle
Program Type: Fellowship / Professional Development
Location: Virtual
Duration: 6 Weeks | July – August
Application Deadline: May 31
Cohort Start Date: July 1
Eligibility: Rising Juniors, Rising Seniors, and Recent Graduates

About the Program

The VP Circle Fellows Program is a selective, six-week career development experience led by senior executives across industries. Fellows receive direct access to accomplished leaders — Vice Presidents, Directors, and C-suite professionals — who are committed to helping the next generation of talent enter the workforce with confidence, clarity, and a competitive edge.

This is not a lecture series or a self-paced course. It is a structured, cohort-based program that combines executive mentoring circles, live workshops, real deliverables, and personalized feedback. By the time you finish, you will have the tools, relationships, and strategy to walk into fall recruiting as one of the most prepared candidates in the room.

What You Will Do

Each week builds on the last, moving you from self-awareness to a fully developed professional toolkit:

Week 1 – Self-Assessment and Career Direction Clarify your strengths, values, transferable skills, and career interests. Leave with a personal positioning statement and a targeted list of roles and industries aligned to your goals.

Week 2 – Resume, LinkedIn, and Professional Brand Translate your experience into impact-driven language. Build a resume and LinkedIn profile that gets attention from recruiters and hiring managers.

Week 3 – Networking and Relationship Building Learn how to reach out strategically, conduct informational interviews, and build relationships that actually lead somewhere. Leave with five outreach messages ready to send and a networking tracker to manage your pipeline.

Week 4 – Interviewing and Executive Presence Master behavioral interviews, sharpen your storytelling, and develop the communication confidence that separates good candidates from great ones. Complete a mock interview with executive feedback.

Week 5 – Offers, Negotiation, and Workplace Navigation Understand compensation, learn how to negotiate without burning bridges, and get clear on the difference between mentors and sponsors. Leave with an offer evaluation worksheet and a negotiation script.

Week 6 – Professional Growth and Development Build a 12-month development plan and a first-90-day strategy so you are not just ready to get a job — you are ready to thrive in one. Present your career roadmap to the group.

What You Will Get

  • Direct mentorship from senior executives across industries

  • Support creating a polished, recruiter-ready resume and LinkedIn profile

  • A live mock interview with personalized executive feedback

  • Professional networking and outreach experience

  • Negotiation script and offer evaluation guidance

  • A 12-month career development roadmap

  • A cohort of peers invested in each other's success

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking motivated rising juniors, seniors, and recent graduates who are serious about their careers and ready to do the work. You do not need to have everything figured out — in fact, the program is designed to help you get there. What we are looking for is self-awareness, coachability, and genuine ambition.

Strong candidates will demonstrate:

  • A clear sense of curiosity about their career direction, even if still developing

  • Leadership experience, whether in a role, a project, an internship, or a community

  • The ability to reflect thoughtfully on their own growth and development

  • A commitment to showing up, engaging fully, and following through

All majors and career interests are welcome. We are actively seeking fellows from a wide range of backgrounds, schools, and industries of interest.

Time Commitment

  • One 60-minute group session per week (virtual, recorded)

  • Optional 30-minute one-on-one with your executive mentor per week

  • Time to complete your weekly deliverable (estimated 1–2 hours)

Total estimated commitment: 3–4 hours per week

How to Apply

Submit your application through Handshake. You will be asked to answer four short questions and attach your current resume. There is no minimum GPA requirement. We select fellows based on demonstrated self-awareness, ambition, and readiness to engage — not credentials alone.

Application Deadline: May 31

Decisions will be communicated by June 15. The program begins July 1.
